A Book Reccomendation for Scorpio Moons Community [27 Feb 2008|04:32pm]

originalkitsune
My room mate who is also coincidentally a Lunar Scorp lent me a book from her library today called:

"The Book of Scorpio: An Enchiridion" by Dr. N. K. Oo

ISBN: 1-56313-639-2
published by Brown Trout in 1995

It's a very short book, less than a 100 pages, and easy to read in a day. The topic is Scorpio in general but it is not in any way trite or generic. We all know we are sexy and have magentic eyes and crap like that, but this book goes far deeper. It is actually scary how accurate it is.

Excerpts:

[...A feeling or a disease is in us, because we feel it, but it is not us, because we do not will it. Action defines the individual, not passions. Passions, as things that happen to you, although in you, are merely temporary and nonessential, like diseases. No one is proud of himself for feeling hungry. No one congratulates ... Yet it is the same with these as with other feelings-- it is something happening to you, not something you are doing, that you are priding yourself on.]

[Many of us do so by making up stories of ourselves, by projecting a narrative structure onto experience in order to organize it and moderate its extremes. We cling to our self-stories like a drowning sailor to is spar, not only because they provide a principle of individuation that makes us different from others, but because they confer a principle of identity that keeps us the same all through. "Yes," someone says. "When I was young I realized --" and follows up with a myth of his own life, suprisingly linear and directional, very tidy, selective, and coherent. ]

Hi everyone,

I am a Libra girl with a Scorpio moon and Aries rising.
I don't know whats going on lately, but I'm dating a Sagitarrius/Capricorn cusp with an Aquarius moon and we can never seem to stop fighting lately.
Even about the most ridiculous things!

For example like yesterday he got mad because I went to a strip club on the weekend without him and he said he didn't want me hanging around there with creepy guys.
I took as he was trying to fit me into the category of some disgusting creepo who likes stripping and going to strip clubs all the time or like he was better than me.
I noticed he started getting really angry, so I started to too. I wanted to stop being so angry because I love him so much but I just couldn't seem to just say what I wanted to.

Does anyone else here have problems expressing their real emotions and everyone thinks you're "pyscho" or like you don't care?
I hear this all the time and it drives me nuts because I feel the total opposite.

Also, do any of you feel like you need to stop drinking?? haha seriously.

Meeting your 'twins' with the same birthdate [03 Oct 2007|07:10pm]
dave_youtwins
I hope this isn't considered bad etiquette but I want to let you know about a web site I have developed that I think may be of particular interest to people with an interest in Astrology. It is called YouTwins.com and it matches up people with identical birthdates (same year as well as birthday) so they become penpals and share experiences to see how similar they might be. And it is all done without anyone else seeing your birthdate. I only started it two months ago and already well over 200 'twins' with ages from 15 to 60 have been put in touch with each other. So please do give it a try and report back on the experience!

Feeling the scorp moon atm. Introspection, intuition, idealism.

Outlines of birds of prey glide over tiny towns; I watch with excitement. Readings say "drop the dead weight, shed your skin completely off, and you'll be reborn". When the time comes. I'll show.

If it has found you well...

Libra / Scorpio Newbie [28 Jul 2006|06:44pm]

evil_libra
I'm a Libra sun with a Scorpio moon and Libra rising. I was once told by an astrologer that it was a bad sign, but I made him take it back after I repeatedly bludgeoned him with his own implements. Anyway, hello everybody!

Also . . .

I've started a new community called Astrogrouch. It is a daily horoscope from an extremely grumpy perspective. The idea came from a woman I dated who wrote a horoscope column in the newspaper that I noticed was worded considerably sharper when she wasn't drinking coffee while she wrote it. Anyway, I decided to spoof my observations of her column. Please check it out, join, comment, show some love to the astrogrouch. It's all in fun and not meant to be taken seriously at all. If you need a good, twisted laugh, hopefully I can give you one.

Ascending Scorpio vs. Moon Scorpio [05 Jul 2006|12:27pm]

mommadona
So I'm ascending sign Scorpio, not moon Scorpio. How much different are the two? I may just hang out in this community anyway.

In case anyone cares, my sun is Aquarius and moon is Pisces.

My friend noted something about me today that I've never realized. She said that when I'm out in public that I look THROUGH people instead of at them. Being the keen observer I am I immediately put it to the test and sure enough. I caught myself looking straight through them instead of at them.
I also noticed that when I really look through someone I get an emotional response. Depending on the polarity of the emotion I act accordingly. I was wondering if this was a typical Scorpio Moon thing or just because I have a heavy Libran accent?

Scorpio Moon eating habits [16 May 2006|01:11pm]

originalkitsune
Hi! New here to the community. I'm Kit. Libra Sun, Scorpio Moon, & Sag Rising. I feel like Scorpio Moon & Sag rising regularly run roughshod over my poor Libra Sun. :3

i just thought I'd share this little article and see if y'all agree on the eating habits of Scorpio Moons. (The article fit me to such a T, it was scary.)

Moon Sign Food Profiles
Scorpio

By Donna Cunningham, for Astrology.com

If Scorpio is the Moon sign for you or someone you care for, here are some observations to help you understand the food patterns typical of this sign and, if need be, to modify or optimize them. If these descriptions don't seem to fit, the answer may be in aspects (angles) other planets form to the Moon in the birth chart. For more details on aspects, see the explanation at the end of this section.

EATING PATTERNS FOR MOON IN SCORPIO: This sign is one of extremes, so Moon in Scorpio people can fall into either extreme of the spectrum--overweight or underweight. If you share this intense and emotional sign, your approach to food is typically a reflection of the major issues you wrestling with. If times are tough for you, either financially or in your personal life, eating can be a tempting outlet, the source of a much needed sense of comfort and security. If emotions are at a peak, food may be your buffer against those emotional storms. (If food is your buffer, stay away from buffets!!)

Scorpio Moons at the other end of the spectrum may find it impossible to eat at all in the midst of an emotional hurricane. Since eating is such a multi-layered response to life's troubles, natives of your sign can be prone to eating disorders, and your weight may fluctuate dramatically as circumstances change.

another scorpio moon [08 Feb 2006|09:03pm]

thirteenthstep
hello. i, too, have a scorpio moon.

it's conjunct jupiter in scorpio, conjunct pluto in libra, opposite venus in taurus, sextile neptune in sagittarius, making a couple of semisextiles, and trine my cancer midheaven. uh, in other words, it's "heavily" aspected. in my 1st house, no less! my ascendant is libra.

i can't hide my emotional states worth shit, even if i don't actually know what it is i'm "feeling" (which is most of the time). i'm blunt, i'm secretive, i'm opinionated, i'm not much for trusting anyone or anything. but at the same time, i joke around a lot, i'm very sensitive, and i can understand/know people almost immediately upon meeting them. i scare the crap out of emotionally weaker, less "brave", insecure types of people who feel like they need to rely on others in order to know where to go or what to do. most people like me, though maybe because they have no choice. ha-ha?

i find that i hate everything the first time i try it, but whatever i do eventually decide i like, i become obsessed with until i'm incredibly SICK of it... at which point, i completely abstain from it. this goes for all sorts of things, but it's especially noticable with food and music. most of my little obsessions come and go pretty quickly, though, so it's hard for me to tell what i actually like all of the time.

... how about you guys?

Alrighty, here we go.

I, of course, have Scorpio Moon (2nd house). I have a LOT of Libra in my chart. Including Libra Ascendant and the Sun in 1st house Libra. Reason I said that is because Libras are typcially the ones to smooth things over, be even tempered and be outgoing and bubbly. Well, that's SO not who I am.

If I get stressed I need to withdraw to isolation. Ruffle my feathers and you'll feel my sting instead of that Libran balancing act. Invade my privacy and you'll see just how quickly I can shift my gears from friend to foe.

My moon is conjunct Uranus and Jupiter. Oh good, let's add the sudden changability of Uranus to the extreme emotions of Scorpio! *T-minus 3 minutes to next mood change*
Really what most people don't think about is a little known Uranus trait: sudden flashes of intuitive clarity. I have the typical Scorpio intuitive nature but it only comes in flashes. When it happens though, it happens with amazing intensity.
Uranus conjunct Scorpio Moon is really a blessing. With that arrangement you're a walking, talking people reader with amazing accuracy. It comes in handy.
Jupiter conjunct Scorpio Moon gives me an incredibly spiritual nature and a need to help those who can't help themselves. Often whether they like it or not.

Not only is my Moon in Scorpio, my Sun is conjunct Pluto in the 1st house. Double the Scorpio, double the fun! It does impose a bit of a dictator quality to my nature. The Scorpio need of control is evident, right along with the intense passion in anything my Libran nature lets me pursue.

One thing I'm thankful for is that the Scorpio Moon overshadows Libra's typical superficiality. I'm never happy with surface value, I always look for more.
